Long story short:
Back in October 2024, I started a brand new Instagram account.

man, I wish I took a screenshot the day I started with 0 followers but this will have to do lol
I posted 1–3 times every single day for six months straight.
Yeah, 182 days of content… as an introvert. 😳
So what happened?
Did I go viral?
Hit that ✨maigcal✨ 10K follower amark?
And did I finally figure out the Instagram algorithm? 🤪
Well, not exactly.
But I did learn a lot about consistency, creativity, soft visibility, and what it means to show up as a cozy creator online (as an introvert).
Let’s dive in!

For my visual learners:
Why I Started a New Instagram Account (Again)
Before I get into the results, here’s a little backstory ↓
I waved buh-bye to my old Instagram account, the one with almost 4,000 followers.
I know, this might have been a silly move (or wait, we’ll see lol).
Why did I do this?
Honestly, it felt stale, misaligned, and full of ghost followers who weren’t really engaging or seemed to not be into the content I was putting out there (I have a hunch they joined my journey way back in the day when I was a little all over the place niche-wise and still hadn’t figured out my jam or found my voice yet.)
I wanted a clean slate and a ✨fresh & sparkly✨ start.
Plus, I was seeing other creators starting fresh (and very sparkly) and hitting 10K or even 100K in what looked like no time at all.
And so, I fell for it and gave into the experimenter in me, started from zero, and said:
Let’s see what happens if I post every single day for 6 months.
Quick spoiler: it wasn’t about the algorithm.
It was about learning how to show up consistently without burning out as an introvert.
The Strategy (aka How I Stayed Consistent on Instagram for 6 Months)
Here’s what was going down behind the scenes of my creative brain and business:
✨ 1. I lived in ClickUp
My content calendar was organized chaos and I loved it haha.
I’d map out ideas monthly, then come back weekly to write, tweak, and finalize.
✨ 2. I repurposed and remixed my content like the true DJ I am
Sidenote: I actually *do* have a background in music and DJing so this ain’t a total lie.
Some of my posts were not brand new.
I pulled from my archive, reused B-roll, rewrote captions, and recycled content that still felt relevant.
This way I was able to churn out way more content without having to start from scratch.
✨ 3. I didn’t stick to a rigid content format
No “Reels on Mondays, Carousels on Thursdays” type of thing, because that would stress my little introvert brain out.
I posted what I felt inspired to post, mostly around:
- Soft marketing tips
- Mindset shifts
- Making money online 💸 (financial freedom bay-bee)
- Personal branding for introverts
- Cozy, dreamy vibes
✨ 4. I scheduled everything
I used Instagram’s built-in scheduler and Metricool (which I now love because it lets me post to IG, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook at once, and I love it).
And that’s how I posted 182 days in a row.
Would I do it again?
Um, we’ll get to that. 🤭
The Results (aka What Actually Happened)
The juicy-ness you’ve been waiting for, so let’s break it down.
I went from 0 to 2,000+ followers
Not viral, not explosive, but slow, intentional, cozy growth (just the way I like it).
And most importantly, my content was bringing in the right people.
You. 😍
My people.
My email list kept growing
Even during breaks, new subscribers kept coming in thanks to my funnels and content strategy.
I kept earning $7K–$10K/month
Instagram wasn’t my main source of income, but my consistent presence helped support my funnels and email marketing.
Talking head Reels performed best
Not viral dance trends or those generic B-roll with value-in-caption reels.
Just me talking to camera, sharing honest tips, thoughts, and stories.
(I warmly recommend trying this if you’re comfy on camera or would like to be.)
What I Learned (That You Can Apply Too)
This whole experience taught me more than I expected. So here are some cozy takeaways for fellow introverts navigating Instagram:
1. You don’t need to go viral to grow your business.
I didn’t hit 10K.
But I built a loyal, dreamy audience and kept my business thriving.
2. Consistency matters — but not more than your energy.
There were days I felt like content was my boss.
That’s when I knew I needed a break.
Energy first, always. 💖
3. Instagram is a tool. Not your business.
It’s the top of your funnel, not your entire strategy.
Your email list is where the magic happens.
4. Real content > perfect content.
People are craving connection.
Your story, your face, your voice?
It matters WAY more than polished stock video with trending audio.
So… Would I Do It Again?
Short answer?
No way, not like that.
I don’t want to force myself to post daily just to check a box.
No thank you to myy calendar bossing me around lol.
But absolutely YES to showing up when I feel inspired to share something.
Also yes to repurposing, planning ahead, and creating content that actually ✨connects✨.
Yes to giving myself space to rest, and still trusting that growth can happen quietly in the background.
