You might be surprised⎯ introverted entrepreneurs significantly outnumber extroverts when it comes to entrepreneurship.

A really cool study by Virgin Money found that 36% of entrepreneurs identify as introverts, compared to only 15% extroverts.

Also, introverts often have traits like deep listening, empathy, careful planning, and thoughtful execution. that are, let’s be honest, perfect for launching and undervalued in noisy, extrovert-dominated marketing (blegh).

Some of today’s top leaders like Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Amy Porterfield, and even Carrie Green from the Female Entrepreneur Association, are all introverts.

You can do the same with your launch and dreamy online business.

No need for yelling and no need to be someone you’re not.

 

 

 

Why Launching Is Non-Negotiable for Your Online Business

First things first: selling is not optional.

Whether you’re a course creator, coach, or digital entrepreneur, launching is how your audience knows your offer is available.

In order to have creative freedom (or a freedom-based lifestyle), you simply have to sell.

You gotta put yourself and the cool things you’ve made out there.

  • No, you don’t have to do a webinar.
  • No, you don’t have to flood your feed with Reels.
  • But yes, you do need to show up and let people know how you can help them.

Selling is simply inviting people into transformation (to make their very specific dreams come true).

It’s how you move your butt closer to financial freedom — and that dreamy “cozy pajama lifestyle.” ✨

 

 

The Two-Part Launch Plan for Introverts

An introvert-friendly launch thrives on one simple word: planning.

Planning your butt off and channeling your inner productivity queen. 👸

(She’s in there, I promise).

The more you prepare in advance, the less draining your launch will feel.

It’s that simple.

You’ll need to map out two key phases:

1. Pre-Launch Phase

Your pre-launch is all about warming up your audience so they are ready and excited to pay you once you officially launch and open the doors to your digital product or online course (let’s just say digital product from now on, because that’s actually what an online course is lol).

Think of it like the trailer before the movie — it builds anticipation and gets your people curious and pumped up for what’s to come.

  • Educate and tease: Start posting about the problem your course solves.
  • Grow your email list: Create lead magnets (like checklists, templates, or mini-courses) to attract the right people.
  • Offer a mindset shift: Help your audience start believing they can achieve the result your product offers.

💡 Hot Tip: Use ChatGPT to help you brainstorm a 4-week pre-launch content calendar tailored to your niche, product, and audience platform (e.g. Instagram Reels, blog posts, YouTube videos, podcasts, etc.)

 

2. Launch Phase

When doors officially open, it’s time to switch gears, and actually sell to your audience. 🎊

Voila! This is your promotional window, but keep it short, sweet, and focused. 🤓

(Take it from me, don’t make your launch period longer than one week.)

  • Launch activity: Choose a kickoff launch strategy that fits your vibe and energy.
    • A pre-recorded masterclass or webinar
    • A simple freebie (like a workbook or challenge)
    • A private podcast
    • An email series
    • A big content/social media push
  • Create urgency: Add a deadline, bonus, or discount that encourages people to take action and buy.
  • Keep it short & sweet, bay-bee: Aim for a 5–7 day launch window to avoid completely burning out.

 

 

No-Live-Launch Strategy (for My Fellow Introverts)

Here’s the best part… nothing needs to be live.

*Cue that confetti and put on your introvert dancing shoes*

 You can 100% run a profitable course/digital product launch without showing up on the socials or post content every day.

Here’s how to make that happen:

✨ Pre-recorded content

Batch your stories, Reels, and even your sales emails ahead of time.

Tools like Canva and Instagram automation (schedule your upcoming posts in the Instagram app too) can help simplify everything.

Trust me, leverage those tools when ya can!

✨ Prep your Instagram stories in advance

Use photos + text slides.

One story a day to remind people you are launching something *spectacular* is plenty (remember, people are busy, they don’t have time to scroll through 20 Instagram Stories of you talking about your digital product).

Focus on:

  • Announcing that the doors are wiiiide open
  • Sharing social proof and testimonials
  • Answering FAQs
  • Sharing bonuses or discount codes (if applicable)
  • Posting countdowns to create urgency as doors close

✨ Automate your DMs

Encourage engagement on your stories and use an Instagram automation tool (I use and love ManyChat) to deliver checkout links, bonuses, or coupon codes when people comment on a specific post or DM you.

 

 

Pre-Write and Schedule Your Launch Emails

Email marketing is still the highest-converting platform during launches.

Most people buy from email, even over social media.

It’s like they expect to be sold to in their inbox.

But please don’t wait until launch day to write your emails. 😅

  • Draft all your launch emails in advance and schedule them in your email marketing service provider (I use Kit)
  • Yes, send one every day (you won’t annoy your audience — they can unsubscribe if it’s not for them)
  • Include testimonials, stories, objections, and benefits
  • Give them a new reason to buy with every new email you send

How to Stay Energized During Launch Week

Even a pre-planned launch takes emotional and introvert energy.

It is A LOT.

Here’s how to protect your introvert energy while still showing up (to sell and make money during your launch):

  • Pre-schedule everything: Content, stories, emails, Reels — get it done before the doors open (I know I’ve already mentioned this but I just want to reiterate due to its importance)
  • Create space: Block out downtime in your calendar for rest, reflection, and recovery.
  • Remind yourself daily: You’re not being salesy — you’re inviting your audience to a party and to get results.
  • Embrace the dip: It’s normal for sales to slow mid-launch. Most people buy in the final days of a launch.

 

 

The Truth About Selling as an Introvert

Sales don’t have to feel pushy, icky or like you’re channeling a used-car-salesman.

In fact, when done from a place of genuine and authentic service, selling becomes empowering — for both you and your customers.

After all, you’re a business, most importantly, here to help.

Here’s what to remember:

  • You’re not convincing anyone
  • You’re simply inviting them to get results (*their desired result)
  • People love buying what they truly want and need
  • And when you’re offering a high-value product that saves time, energy, and money — it’s not just okay to sell it — it’s basically your duty
