WHY I HATED GOING VIRAL

what even is an introvert?

how to start a blog in 2025

If you’re an introvert dreaming of earning cozy, dreamy passive income online but the idea of dancing on Reels, talking on video, or being on all the time makes you want to hide under a weighted blanket…

You are SO not alone lol. 🤭

You want freedom, flexibility, and that cozy pajama lifestyle.

But you also want to do it in a way that feels good, not performative, loud (or let’s face it… annoying).

This post is for you.

I’m sharing 7 introvert-friendly passive income ideas that don’t require showing your face, recording videos, or doing anything that feels out of alignment with your quiet personality.

These are real ways to build an online business without totally burning your social battery.

And yes, this is coming from someone who started a secret blog in 2018 without showing her name or face for over a year, and still built a 4,000-subscriber email list and made my first passive income sale while walking on a treadmill. 😅

Let’s dive in! ✨

For my visual learners:

1. Sell Digital Products (No Camera Required)

This one’s my bread and butter bay-bee.

Digital products are the coziest way to start earning passive income without needing to record yourself or show your face.

Examples:

  • Printable planners
  • Journals
  • eBooks
  • Digital guides or mini workbooks

You don’t even need a fancy shmancy setup.

You can sell digital products on Etsy, Gumroad, or simply connect a checkout page to your own website.

I started by offering an ebook called Dream Morning, and I’ll never forget that first sale (her name was Holly, thanks for showing me I can *actually* do this thing).

✨ Pro tip → Take a blog post that’s getting traffic and turn it into a more in-depth, results-driven guide. Price it low ($7–$27) and use it to build your confidence and your bank account.

2. Get Strategic with Affiliate Marketing

I feel like this one is often overlooked, but it’s such a cozy fit for us introverts.

Affiliate marketing is when you recommend tools, courses, or products you genuinely love, and earn a commission when someone buys through your link.

No product creation required and definitely no videos needed.

Get started with affiliate marketing:

  • Signing up for affiliate programs for tools you actually use (authenticity is key!!)
  • Creating blog posts or email funnels that highlight your experience
  • Adding a “resources” page to your website
  • Writing simple review posts

If you love writing (and hate selling), this is *mwah* chef’s kiss. 💖

Focus on trust-building and authentic storytelling, and let your emails or blog posts do all the work for ya.

3. Sell Templates (People Are Nosy)

Yep. 😎

People want to know how you do things.

If you’ve created a cute Notion setup, a client onboarding flow, a ClickUp dashboard, or anything system-y in your biz⎯ you can templatize it and sell it.

Some things I’ve sold in my Cozy Shop:

  • Email welcome sequence templates
  • ClickUp planning boards
  • Brand refresh kits

You can sell these in your own shop, or even bundle them up into a mini product suite.

It’s a really cool way to monetize the behind-the-scenes things you’ve already built.

And yeah, no extra work, still no camera.

4. Start a Print-on-Demand Shop

(Cozy merch, anyone?)

If you’ve got an eye for design (or Canva skills!), print-on-demand is a super chill way to add passive income to your cozy online business.

Here’s how it works:

  • You upload a design (like a quote or illustration)
  • A third-party service prints and ships it when someone orders
  • You earn money with zero inventory or shipping stress

You could sell:

  • Mugs with cozy quotes
  • T-shirts with your signature phrases
  • Journals or tote bags your audience will love

I’ve been saying for literally years that I want to make cozy merch for you all, maybe next year will be *THE* year. 😅

5. Create a Written Online Course (Yes, Really!)

You do not have to record your face or even your voice to create an online course.

I’ve purchased multiple courses that were 100% written where there was no video, no slides, no voiceover.

Just really value-stuffed and well-organized lessons with PDFs and step-by-step instructions.

You could:

  • Turn your blog posts into a course
  • Repurpose a workbook into a full learning experience
  • Write lessons in Notion, Teachable, or Kajabi

The value of your course won’t go down just because it’s written, k? So try it!

And if you do want to use your voice but not your face?

Try recording over slides.

That’s what I do for most of my courses, and it’s all very introvert-friendly. 🧘‍♀️

6. Sell Audio Products or Launch a Private Podcast

If you don’t mind using your voice (but still want to stay camera-shy), this is such a goodie option.

You could sell:

  • Guided meditations
  • Affirmation tracks
  • Mindset audio trainings
  • A private podcast feed your audience pays to access

You can use tools like HelloAudio or even set up a product inside Kajabi with just audio + transcripts.

Audio products are cozy, portable, and a great way to build intimacy without visibility overload.

7. Sell Stock Photos or Digital Art

And finally! 👏

If you’re more of the artsy type or love taking aesthetic photos, you can turn your work into passive income by uploading it to:

  • Stock photo platforms (like Creative Market, Unsplash or StyledStock)
  • Your own cozy photo shop
  • Sites like Etsy or Gumroad

Definitely still no face required.

Just your creativity and a bit of strategy.

You can also play with AI art, mockups, or illustrations, especially if you’re more techy or design-savvy.

Final Thoughts

I know it can feel like everyone is on camera these days, and like video is taking over! 😬

But the truth is…

There are SO many ways to make money online as an introvert, without showing your face, dancing on Reels, or pretending to be someone you’re not.

You can start slow.

You can do it softly.

You can build a cozy online business that supports your quiet lifestyle and your big dreams.

When you’re ready to show your face or be more visible, you’ll know.

But for now?

Start here.

Start small.

Start secretly, even. 🤫

I did, and I’m so glad I did.

Tootles! 💛
