You have goals and big dreams, but something is setting you back. Can you relate?

To be honest, before I started blogging – I dealt with a whole lot of anxiety and fear of putting myself out there and going for it.
I had to work on my mindset, and after I did – everything changed.
I’m not going to lie and tell you that it was a walk in the park. It takes a lot of time and effort to change thoughts and beliefs that are so deeply rooted in your mind.
Changing the way you think can be the key to getting the results you want in your life.
Here are 8 powerful mindset hacks that will change your life and just may rock your world.

1. Your Thoughts Shape Your Life
One of the very first things I learned from my own personal development journey is that everything starts with a sentence.
Everything you do in life, your achievements, failures, and others are shaped by sentences – thoughts in your mind.
A thought is a sentence you repeat over and over again in your mind until it becomes your belief.
Are you with me?
The equation goes a little something like this:
Thoughts β Feelings β Actions β Results
Everything starts with a thought, I mean think about it…
If you’re not happy about the results you have in your life, you have the power to change everything by simply changing your thoughts.
When you change your thoughts, your feelings and the way you take action follows.
It’s all tied together.
Trace your results back to your thoughts and make adjustments that feel good to YOU.
This is THE hack out of all the mindset hacks that will most likely change your life.
2. Identify Your Thoughts
Put the equation above into action and identify your current thoughts.
Ask yourself the following questions:
- Are my thoughts negative?
- Or positive?
- Do my current thoughts support the results I want in my life?
- Can my current results be traced back to a thought?
- If negative, what can I think instead?
- How do I want to feel?
Write down how you’re feeling right now, and ask yourself what is the thought behind this feeling.
Then make the change.
Write down the results you want in your life and work your way backward using the equation below:
Results β Actions β Feelings β Thoughts
Make a note of what you want out of life and the supporting thoughts and beliefs that will get you there.
It takes practice but daily work will give you results.
3. You Can’t Change The Past
I hate to break it to you, but you can’t change the past.
There is just no way – unless some wizard out there is on the verge of inventing the time machine.
What’s done is done.
I’ve struggled with wanting to go back in time to change my mind and I’ve spent endless hours thinking about “the what if’s” and wondering what could have happened if I just….
THIS IS EXHAUSTING.
There is a wonderful release in knowing that you can’t do anything about the way things played out. It’s impossible.
4. Worry Is A Waste Of Time
Worrying will get you nowhere.
It’s one of the most useless emotions we can experience, and yet it is one of the most usual.
In the wise words of Eckhart Tolle – it only pretends to be necessary.
I’ve spent half my life worrying about things I cannot change and have no control over, and it’s just a waste of energy.
If we learn to let this emotion go, our lives will be so much easier.
I’ve gotten better at this – but it’s something I have to work on and constantly remind myself of.
5. Embrace What You Can Control
Now, speaking of control.
A huge mindset win is to only focus on the areas of your life that are within your control.
These are the things that are affectable and that you have the power of changing.
For example:
- Career and education
- Marriage and love life
- Family values
- Environment (at work or at home)
- Finances
- People you surround yourself with
- Your personal development journey
6. People vs Your Mindset
Be mindful of the people you have and bring into your life.
Quality over quantity.
Keep your distance from anyone who’s energy put you down, makes you feel bad or doesn’t serve you any value.
Also, unfollow anybody on social media that does not make you feel good about yourself.
Social media is one of the leading triggers of a negative mindset.
Be selfish, think about you, the people you love and that loves you back, and say your goodbyes to any toxic relationships.
7. Ask Questions
This is such a powerful tool for shifting your mindset around.
The key is to ask the right questions, so the answers support you in a positive way.
Keep your questions positively charged and future-focused.
For example:
- How can I feel happier today?
- How can I achieve my goal?
- What can I do today to move forward?
You need your mind to be working FOR you, not against you.
Ask questions that support the results you want in your life.
Put your mind to work.
8. Enjoy The Ride
We tend to focus a whole lot on where we’re going, the end goal and the final destination.
If there is one thing I’ve learned on this journey called life is that it never stops.
Once you get to one milestone, another one appears and on it goes.
To not go completely nuts, it’s important that we enjoy the process, have a look at our own progress from a 30.000 feet overview, and enjoy the ride.
Our minds and thoughts can spiral out of control if we don’t spend our time enjoying the present moment.
The journey never stops, just enjoy the ride, girl.
And don’t forget to see how far you’ve come.
Other Actions You Can Take
Here are some examples of activities you can do to help with your mindset shift:
- Meditate
- Journal
- Yoga
- Long walks
- Inspiration podcasts
- Read a mindset positive book
