The feeling of “stuckness” is the worst.
Feeling like you’re standing still in one place, no way forward and no way back.
Sometimes, change is even more painful than staying stuck.
I’ve dealt with this emotion a lot throughout my life and it ain’t healthy.
Since you’re here, I can only guess that you’ve had or are having the same experience.
Let’s get you from stuck to unstuck right now and today.

Nobody Is Really Stuck
Nobody is really stuck – literally, I mean.
It’s just thought with an added emotion.
In other words, it totally made up – it’s a metaphor we tell ourselves.
You’re not in a rut and you’re not stuck in one place.
You can feel stuck but you can never be stuck. Are you with me?
Feeling stuck is an emotion led by our thoughts.
Our thoughts will always be the reason we feel a certain way.
For example:
- Thought: “I’m not getting anywhere, everybody is having amazing results, and I’m still stuck in this meaningless 9-5.”
- Feeling: Apathetic or stuck
- Action: Take no action at all
- Results: No movement forward, no results to show and still in the same job.
We act on emotions and because of the way we’re feeling.
If you’re feeling stuck you’re likely taking no action at all – but this is still a type of action – inaction.
Our actions create the results in our lives.
If you’re not careful, you’ll be creating results based on feeling stuck and I’m guessing those results aren’t what you’re dreaming of.
Something needs to change and I’m here to help. ✨
Awareness Is The First Step To Change
Something got you to where you are now.
There is a reason why you’re feeling the way you are.
Our thoughts and the things we believe create our emotions, and since feeling stuck is an emotion, we need to uncover the base thought or belief behind it.
If you can pinpoint this thought, you’ve won half the battle.
Getting real, raw, and aware of your thoughts isn’t always an easy job, especially if you’re feeling so apathetic you’re living in denial (in other words, you’ve set up camp in the metaphor that is “stuck”).
However, awareness is the first step to changing your current state of stuckness.
Get Out Of Your Head
In order to change your beliefs, you need to separate yourself from your thoughts.
Get out of your own head to uncover why you’re feeling the way you are.
Do a thought download of all the thoughts that are on a loop in your mind.
Write them down on a piece of paper.
Pick the thought that triggers you the most.
For example: “I’m not getting anywhere, everybody is having amazing results, and I’m still stuck in this meaningless 9-5.”
Can you see that this thought isn’t helpful or serving you?
Neutralize The Thought
Ask yourself, how can you change this thought and how can you neutralize it?
What if you had the following thought instead:
“I have a 9-5 and I have results.”
It would still be true, but it would likely not lead you to feel the same emotion as in the above example.
For the practice to work, the new thought has to be believable.
You have to believe it to feel it.
Introduce An Improved Thought
When you believe your neutralized thought, it’s time to introduce the new and improved belief.
This is the thought that will trigger you from stuck to unstuck – feeling apathetic to feeling hopeful.
I’ll continue with the exampled situation above.
Once your mind is on board with “I have a 9-5 and I have results,” consider changing it to something like…
“I have a 9-5 and I have results, but I am capable of more, and I’m going to make things happen for me.”
Woah!
That thought is motivating, inspired and you almost feel intrigued to take action right away.
Let’s take a look at the new and improved example:
- Thought: “I have a 9-5 and I have results, but I am capable of more, and I’m going to make things happen for me.”
- Feeling: Motivated
- Action: Take action on goals and dreams
- Result: One step closer to the goal (a.k.a not in the same place as you were yesterday – there is forward movement)
Are you with me, dreamer?
Do you see how powerful your thoughts are? ✨

Don’t Change Your Circumstance
If you try to change your circumstances to change how you feel, it will not work.
Don’t expect external changes to swoop you out of your rut.
The only way to change the way you feel is to reframe your mindset and change your thoughts.
It’s the only way.
For example:
- You’re stuck in a job you hate.
- You want to quit so you can be happy.
If you quit your job because you think whatever is on the other side will make you happy – you believe that external factors create your emotions.
For example, the amount of money, freedom from your full-time job or the number of shoes you have.
Now, of course, you’ll feel momentary joy from shopping or sleeping instead of going into work.
But your emotions can only be changed in your mind – it’s all internal, dreamer.
Your thoughts will follow you whether you go on a shopping spree or quit your job, and so will your emotions.
To really change your emotions and to have long term results, you need to rework your mindset, not attempt to change your external circumstances.
What Is The Dream?
To acquire forward motion and get you from stuck to unstuck, you need to have a driving force – and that driving force is your dreams and your goals.
Ask yourself:
- What do I really want?
- What is my purpose?
- What makes me happy?
- What is the ultimate goal?
- What is the dream I am ready to pursue?
Deep down you know what you want to make happen and you know the amazing results you want to create for yourself.
Your dream is powerful and it is what will nudge your new behavior by taking sweet action on your goals.
A passionate goal will make you feel more alive and truth be told – a lot less stuck.
Get really clear on what you want to make happen and then go for it.
All you need to do is to start, which can sometimes be the hardest part.
Practicing Courage
Taking action is the only way out of the “stuckness”.
And the feeling (or one of them) that will get you to take this action is courage.
Courage is not just a feeling, it’s a skill you can practice and get really good at.
Implement courage into your daily routine.
This means, getting out of your comfort zone every single day.
It doesn’t have to be drastic, small movements out of your comfort zone every day will do wonders.
Make it simple in the beginning but you need to take some sort of action.
Move your body, stand up tall and channel your favorite power position.
Escape stuckness by physically moving your body all the while taking action on your dreams.
You are capable of doing hard and amazing things, dreamer.
Trust in yourself and practice courage daily. ✨
Before You Go
Your thinking will always determine how you feel.
You’ll take action on the energy (emotions) you feel.
The action is what creates our results.
A change in the way we move and carry our bodies can as fast as a couple of minutes change the way you think and feel.
Pay good attention to and investigate the thoughts you’re currently having and ask yourself how you can change them.
If your mind is used to negative thoughts, you need to practice this shift in mindset regularly.
First, go neutral, then new and improved.
Choose better thoughts – the possibility will always be there.
We have the power to think however we want.
