Okay, so this has been a long time coming.
Somebody call Brené Brown because I’m about to get vulnerable.
I’m sharing with you something I have never shared with anyone before (and now I’m sharing it with the whole wide web – makes sense).
I’ve received so many questions about this over the years and since I started making money blogging.
- Will you do a blog income report?
- How much money do you make from your blog?
- Share your monthly blogging revenue please?
I always thought, no that’s private.
I don’t want to share that part of my business.
However, I have had a long heart-to-heart with myself and decided to give it a go.
I mean, I teach this stuff.
I teach introverts how to start blogs and make money blogging.
And if you’re able to learn something from my blog income report, get inspired and motivated to go out there and start your own blog and make money blogging – I’ll do it.
Why I’m sharing my blog income
And just to let you know, I’m not one of those bloggers who earn millions a month, far from it, but I am starting to make my way closer to the six-figure blogger title.
I’ve watched and read my fair share of blog income reports where the blogger is making over $100,000 a month.
And yes, I felt inspired but also a bit of hopelessness.
Because the amount of money these pro bloggers were making was so far away from where I was at that moment.
(At that time, I was currently making roughly around $0 per month from my blog)
I don’t see a lot of blog income reports from people who are in it, who are on the journey, on their way to “making it.”
So that’s what I want this blog post to be.
I want to be completely honest, vulnerable, and transparent with you all as I share my numbers.
And also, I’m not sharing this to brag, I’m sharing this with you because I want you to know that you can absolutely do this too.
If I’m a unicorn, so are you. ✨

How I make money blogging
Before we dig into the numbers, I first want to take a minute to let you in on how I actually make money blogging.
There are obviously lots of ways for bloggers to make money, but here’s how I make money blogging:
- Affiliate marketing – selling other people’s products and services.
- Display ads – by having ads on my site.
- Digital products – my ebook, Dream Morning, and my planner bundle.
- Online courses – Dreamer To Blogger (blogging course for introverts) and The Dreamer To Doer Academy (personal development course for introverts).
- Membership – She Dreams All Day Membership Experience (safe online space for introverted bloggers).
Passive income <3
I make most of my money blogging through passive income.
Passive income means that I put in the work upfront and reap the benefits of the work later by selling on autopilot through email marketing.
This is how I am able to wake up to an inbox full of sales and have new students join my courses and membership while I sleep.
It’s amazing!
Now for my membership, I do get recurring revenue, and that’s passive, but I do put a lot of hard work into it every single month.
I create new masterclasses, host goal-setting workshops, and show up for my members every single day inside our private Facebook group.
As a result of all this monthly work, I’d say that the money I earn from my membership community is not entirely passive because it requires me to show up more.
However, I do enjoy showing up for my community and this is also where my focus lies.
My goal is to make it the best place on the web for introverted bloggers where we can come together to do amazing things for our blogs but also for our own personal growth. ✨
Blog Income Report (April 2021)
Let’s crunch those numbers *crunch sound*
In April 2021, I earned a total of…
$7740.77
Let’s break things down even further so you see where the money is coming in from.
Affiliate marketing: $1388.1
Display ads: $537.46
Digital products: $350.23
Online courses: $4479.98
Membership: $985.72
Note: This is not what’s sitting in my bank account free for me to use and withdraw directly.
I do have to pay taxes (obvs), my accountant, and I have other blogging expenses that I pay for monthly.
My blog revenue does ebb and flow.
Sometimes it’s more than this, sometimes it’s less.
That’s just the name of the blogging game.
My blogging goals going forward
Since I have shared all of this with you, I may as well let you in on my goals and focus going forward.
I’m so close to hitting that six-figure blogger mark, so if I were to set a financial goal for my blog going forward, that would be it.
Hitting $8333 a month in revenue.
But more than just focusing on the numbers, I want to continue to provide as much value as I can for my readers, students, and members.
I want to be more open, share my story even more and dare to be vulnerable, and publish these kinds of videos/blog posts even though they do freak me out a little bit.
I also want to focus on growing my membership of amazing bloggers and spread the word about my blogging course, Dreamer To Blogger.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you might know that I didn’t start out blogging about blogging – I was blogging about literally everything related to personal development.
I wasn’t clear on who I was speaking to and creating content for.
Now I definitely am.
✨ I help introverts start blogs, shine online and chase their dreams. ✨
That’s one of the major things that has changed in my blogging biz in the last year or so.
But hey, it’s not about getting it perfect (ever really) right out of the gate, it’s about starting.
So where do you start with making money blogging?

The best way to start making money blogging for beginners
I highly recommend that you learn, implement and focus on one monetization strategy at a time – especially when you’re just starting out.
The reason for this is that it does take some time to craft your money-making strategy and learn how it all works.
When you’ve gotten the hang of it and have a little more skin in the game, you will want to diversify your income, but for now – focus on nailing down one strategy at a time.
However, when you do feel ready to implement a monetization strategy into your blogging business, I highly recommend you start with affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is the best way to start making money blogging for beginners.
Because it lets you test out other people’s products with your audience to see what they like or dislike, but also to spark inspiration for creating your own products down the line.
This way, you don’t have to spend time creating a product that won’t sell.
You get to test the waters with your audience by offering them affiliate products first before you set out to create your own digital products and services.
This is exactly what I did.
