Scared to hit publish?
Go head first for your dreams?
Worried what others will think about your content, your ideas, your dream life and “cringey” content?
Fearing that judgment as a creative from miles away?
Samesies, girl, same.
Let’s talk about it— and why no one caring might *just* set you free.

For my visual learners:
Dealing with the fear of judgment as a creative
Let’s get real honest for a sec.
As someone who:
- Started this blog in complete secret back in 2018 🤫
- Took 3 years to show my face online and tell people about it 🫣
- Now posts YouTube videos weekly (eeeek) 🤭
…I’ve deeply cared about what people think of me, especially the people from “before.”
- Old Facebook “friends” (do they really count as friends if you don’t say hi to each other on the street?)
- Former coworkers
- That high school acquaintance you were supposed to grab coffee with and never did
For years, worrying about those people’s opinions held me back from doing what I really wanted to do…
✨Chasing creative freedom✨
(I’m a multi-passionate girly, so this is the best way to describe my dream life)
The Truth: No One Cares (Like, Really)
And I mean that in the most freeing way possible.
The world is big.
The people in it? ENDLESS.
People are so freaking busy.
While you’re worrying someone might screenshot your blog or laugh at your Reel, they’re probably just:
- Thinking about what to have for dinner
- Stressed about their to-do list
- Pondering what their next Netflix binge should be
- Wondering what others think of them
We are selfish beings (in the best way btw).
We’re all the main characters in our own lives.
So while you’re anxious someone’s judging you, they’re not focused on you nearly as much as you fear.
Guess what?
Your “cringey” content is not going to make it as one of their core memories.
If someone does make a comment or silently judge your post? It’ll last all of 30 seconds before they go right back to living their own life.
And honestly? If they spend energy laughing/thinking/rolling their eyes at you⎯ that says way more about them than it does about you.
Be Cringe. Be Free. And Do It Anyway.
In a world of basic, be cringe. 💖
“Cringe” is just another word for courage— the courage to:
- Start a blog
- Film a YouTube video
- Launch your first offer
- Show your face online
That’s brave! Bold! And that’s what gets you closer to your dreams. ✨
It just means you’re doing something new and different (hiii outside the box!)
And hey, most people won’t think you’re cringe.
The right people will cheer you on, and those are the people you’re creating for in the first place.
YOUR AUDIENCE.
(Don’t forget them)
Dare to be off-brand and expand
One reason we fear judgment is because we think we’re doing something “off brand.”
For me, that was pivoting from music into content creation.
Because here’s what I thought:
“Mia is music. She also can’t be a content creator. She should stay in music and don’t she dare leave that box we’ve created for her.”
But why not? We don’t live in one-dimensional boxes.
You can:
- Write songs and write blog posts
- Launch digital products and work at a cutie music label
- Be cozy, introverted, multi-passionate, and still succeed ☕️
- DO ALL THE THINGS!
Regina George Lives In Rent-free Your Brain
Sometimes (actually *all of the time), it’s not others judging us,⎯ it’s us judging ourselves.
That Regina George-esque voice in your head is telling you:
- “You’re not qualified”
- “This isn’t who you are”
- “People will think you’re trying too hard”
That voice? Total BS and not true.
It’s just your brain trying to keep you safe by keeping you small (inside that box again).
Your mind wants coziness, comfort, and proof that you’ll succeed before you ever begin.
But comfort doesn’t create change, and no one gets closer to their dream by hiding away in a box.
No One Cares = Your One-Way ticket to Freedom
Let this be your permission slip, k?
- To stop overthinking your Instagram caption pronto
- To post the video even if your voice shakes or you made a mistake (no one will notice)
- To write the blog, even if your old coworker might see it
Most people aren’t thinking about you.
And the ones who are? The ones you’re creating for?
They need your message.
The people who matter will support you.
The rest? Boo them (and boo normal).
Don’t even live in your head rent-free. At best, they sublet for a day.

Final Thoughts from Your Online Cheerleader
Whatever dream you’re holding, it was planted in your cutie little heart for a reason.
It’s not random.
It’s not off-brand.
It’s you.
And it’s allowed to grow, shift, and evolve.
So the next time your inner mean girl tells you “everyone will care…”
You tell her:
“No one cares. Alright! Freedom! Yay!”
(Something along those lines lol)
Now go do the thing.
You’ve got this. 💖
Cozy vibes!
