WHY I HATED GOING VIRAL

what even is an introvert?

how to start a blog in 2025

I bet you have big dreams, wild dreams – dreams you never think will come true in a million years.

What if I told you that you’re wrong and that anything is possible?

You can have and achieve anything you want.

The solution can be found in taking action and planning for your dreams.

This is what this post is all about.

You will learn how to take action on your dreams and how you can start TODAY

Don’t wait until life has passed you by and I definitely don’t want you to have any regrets about not going after the life you truly wanted to live. I don’t wish that onto anyone.

Starting with the end in mind

When you’re trying to map out your entire life and set huge goals for yourself, it can be rather overwhelming at times.

Sometimes you won’t feel like you’re moving forward even though you are.

You feel the urge to wake up early and make your dreams come true right away.

I feel ya, but we need to go slow and take one day at a time.

The secret to how to take action on your dreams is to start with the end in mind and work your way backward.

For example:

Big Goal: I want to make $500.000 from my new online business.

You have to break this big goal way down into smaller actionable to-do’s that you can easily plot on your calendar for tomorrow morning’s tasks.

It has to be manageable and actionable, like the examples below:

Daily Actionable Goals:

    • Write one blog post
    • Sign up for an email marketing service
    • Reach out to one blogger for a guest post opportunity
    • Post one photo on Instagram with appropriate hashtags

Think big, allow yourself to dream, and then think small and take action.

This is the true secret to success.

Big dreams, small actions – every day.

The importance of tackling the week ahead

Sit down every Sunday and make time to plan out the coming week.

Spend your Sunday afternoon checking in with your goals, plan your week ahead, and go through all the things that need your attention for the next 7 days.

You can, for instance, do a weekly review alongside your planning on Sundays.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Are you living in line with your dreams and your vision?
  • Are you making progress?
  • What did you achieve this week?
  • Which tasks were left untouched?
  • How can you improve next week?

Plan for the results you want

If there is one golden rule I have learned on my personal development journey it is to plan for the results you want in your life and inasmuch as detailed as possible.

Get out a massive action list of to-dos related to your big goal and start plotting them on your calendar.

Start with your wildest dream and break the actions down into manageable tasks.

Ask yourself:
  • How can I get this result in my life?
  • What 100 actions can I take?
  • And what can I do today to move forward?

Lessen the pressure by breaking the actions down.

Be as specific as you can and ask yourself what you can do today, for just 5 minutes – if that’s all you have.

Spending 5 minutes on your dreams every day is better than no minutes at all.

You’re moving forward, slowly, but steadily – so use this time wisely and honor your commitment and always come back to your why when you need to.

When you plan for specific results and not just the action, it does something to your mindset and your commitment to your goal.

For example:
  • You wake up early to work on your online business.
    • You want to make it profitable.
    • You need to write 10 blogs, sign up for an email service.
    • Be active on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
    • But also Pinterest (ah that reminds me – you have to create and publish pins every day)
    • In other words, your to-do list is endless
  • Ask yourself – what can I do today to get closer to my goal?

Break it all down and schedule the results you expect to get in that timeframe on your calendar (I personally love Google Calendar for this).

Put down the result you want to produce, not the action.

Add a deadline to each task and honor that commitment.

Make your to-do’s time-sensitive and plan your days down to the dot.

Example:
  • CORRECT 6 AM – 7 AM: I will write one blog post and create one new pin
  • INCORRECT 6 AM – 7 AM: I will work on my online business

We can get something done in one hour or drag it out for months.

It’s up to you.

Honor your dreams and take action, every day.

It will always add up in the end.

Produce more in less time

The key to getting results fast is learning how to switch your mindset from being busy to actually getting to work and seeing results by producing ten times as much as you would if you were just “busying”.

Set expectations to get more done in less time.

Writing the first few chapters of your novel can either take you 2 months or 2 weeks.

It’s like Parkinson’s Law – the work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion.

Make the commitment to yourself and state that no matter what, you will produce what you planned for in the timeframe given on your calendar.

Be okay with B minus work and produce in spite of the little flaws your work might have.

You can always go back and improve later on.

Stop indulging in perfectionism and get to work on your dreams.

You have to start somewhere and somewhere means putting your work out there, even if it’s not “perfect.”

Be okay with putting out decent work.

Producing decent work is much better than not producing anything at all because you fear failure, rejection or falling flat on your face.

Taking the action

Get out your massive action list, tick off your to-do’s, and start producing.

To avoid any overwhelm, fear, or doubt – start small.

If you’re writing a book, break it down and start with writing one good sentence, then a paragraph, then two paragraphs and then a chapter.

If you’re starting a blog, break it down, and start with signing up for hosting, get your domain, writing down the title of your first blog post, and don’t think about all the other things that need to get done.

Your to-dos won’t ever come to an end and you need to be okay with that.

Start small and get big results.

The most important thing is that you actually take action and take one little bite of the elephant every day.

It won’t always be sunshine and roses – there will be days when you don’t want to take action on your dreams and goals.

Expect negative emotions like fear, self-doubt, and confusion to pop up.

Know that this is completely normal when you’re chasing dreams and going for it.

Nothing has gone wrong.

Negative emotions do not mean stop, it just means you’re leaving the comfy safe space that is your comfort zone

And that is a GOOD thing.

Take action no matter how hard your brain tries to fight you on it and you’ll be on your way to your dream destination in no time.
